If our system cannot match your ID to your selfie — perhaps the lighting is poor, your face is partially obscured, or the ID photo is blurry — we ask you to retake the photos. You have three attempts before we flag the account for manual review. If manual review is needed, a member of our support team examines your photos and either approves your account or requests additional documents (such as a utility bill to confirm your address). This manual process typically takes 24–48 hours.
Throughout verification, we store your documents and extracted data in encrypted form, separate from your login credentials. Your password is never exposed to the verification system, and your facial data is deleted after verification is complete. We do not use your photos for any purpose other than confirming your identity.
